Having work done to your property can be stressful & disruptive to your daily life.

By having a builder who keeps you up to date & fully aware of all goings on you can have a less stressful & more enjoyable renovation.

Here are some handy tips to help you prepare for your upcoming building work –

  • Ensure the room or rooms you are using are clear – Clear out as much of the furniture & general items in the room as possible. This will ensure work can go ahead at a good pace & that your property remains safe.
  • Make sure you’re aware of everything you need to do – Builders may all work slightly differently so speak to your builder to ensure you have the correct up-to-date information.
  • Make it as easy as possible for your builder – We’ve already discussed ensuring rooms are clear but also make your builder aware of parking restrictions, issues with neighbours & any other potential problems.
  • Clear your property of your pets – If you have extensive work being done then clearing your property of your pets may be a wise plan. Doors may need to be left open, some work is very dusty & potentially harmful to certain animals. For a stress free time it may be best to keep your pets away, especially from those perfectly painted walls!
